Ah. Much better. Are you a therapist? Stressful patients are the coin of the realm or else they wouldn't need therapy. Having said that, your clinical supervisor should be useful in helping you strategize ways to intervene. If not, you always have the option of recusing yourself and requesting the patient be reassigned to another therapist.

@Sweet517 Same population, variety of supports and services. I agree about the coin of the realm, it's more a question of no one else is simultaneously willing and able (bc of her requirements for who she meets with) to meet with her. I can handle the current arrangement, I just don't think I have the stamina and personal patience for more, and I don't know how to explain that. You may be right about getting a higher up to help me strategize. :-) Everyone works very independently of one another in my company's set up so I forget I can do that!
