FTLOG, bring back the sorting by TIME POSTED

@Nuno PLEASE bring back the sorting of SW post by TIME posted. I know in theory this setting exists, but as we all know, IT DOESN'T WORK. It's so frustrating logging in and see that every post is from over 3 hours ago, typically way more (just now the top posts in my feed were ONE DAY old!)... Whoever made these posts is long gone, it's like coming to a party and finding everyone left already, and we are left talking to the walls. Moreover, when refreshing, the whole order of the posts changes randomly so it's impossible to keep track of what was read and what wasn't. I thought that the point of implementing the settings was to promote engagement and conversation, but it has the opposite effect. New posts are seldom seen, and when they show up in people's feeds hours later the poster is long gone. Can you guys PLEASE bring back the classic, simple and effective, sort by time posted, and nothing else?? PLEASE PLEASE

It works by those who you follow, you have to tweak it some, these are my settings, I always get fresh posts the moment those I follow drops them.
@NativePortlander1970 if we only see posts from people we follow the site dies.
@SooperSarah I disagree, there are enough members to carry this site even if it's just a standard forum format like twitter, the groups are merely window dressing.
@NativePortlander1970 but if we're all broken up into little groups the interaction level on this site is greatly restricted. They should've offered this "improvement" as an option rather than a replacement.
@SooperSarah I have been active on the internet since 1991, years before it went mainstream, once a community forms, forum sites, like web chats, social media, IRC, BBS, etc., usually remain strong and rarely go away. EP was taken down because a heinous murder was connected to it, and Topix went down because people were meeting up to fight each other. There are members from all over the world on SW, yes it may be slow at times from our perspectives, but we honestly do not know the full numbers because of filtering and blocking, as well as mutes. We're really not breaking into little groups, we're given the options to prioritize how we wish to see our timelines, whether it's by people we follow or by groups we're in.
@NativePortlander1970 and I'm saying we shouldn't be limited to people or groups we follow. That does nothing but strangle growth. A lot of us, myself included, want to see new things from new people and new groups.
The only reason I saw this two day old post is because of someone that commented. Wouldn't rather have everyone see your posts rather than just the people that follow you?
@SooperSarah Not really no, I do not, specially the perverts and trolls, however many still see my comments and replies through the posts of others that do not filter as strongly as I do. I have been a member of this community since the early days of EP in 2007, I can safely say that if your misinformed logic were true, social media never would have taken off during the early days of the internet, and the web as we know it today would not exist.
@NativePortlander1970 my misinformed logic. Okay. You know everything and everyone else that hates the new feed just doesn't understand how the internet works. Got it. Have a good night
@SooperSarah Like I said, I have been on the internet since before most of the general public was even aware it was a real thing, I have seen the evolution of social media from basic IRC and BBS forums based with Universities to SW, twitter, and facebook, when did you first go online, hmmm? Your problem is that you refuse to acknowledge that people do know more and have vast further experiences than you do.
@NativePortlander1970 You keep mentioning how long you've been online. Do you want some kind of trophy? I hate to tell you this but being older doesn't make you an expert. In fact, it seems to show you're rather out of touch with how current social media works. This is a social media site. Do you understand what that means? If I wanted to only see updates from the same people every day I'd join a group chat.
@SooperSarah It's called life experience and decades of observation, two things you are obviously completely ignorantly unaware of. Yes, I know EXACTLY what social media is, I have been using it since my early 20's decades ago. Learn. To. Read.
