Sending A Gift

They either talk to someone already they don't want to see you. Or they are ashamed of you in some way. Shiesty either way and insulting.

This is my thought. I’m not a person that would normally mark anything private by default because I just don’t hide. That being said… not everyone is as brazen as me. I have friends that are shy, mentally ill, and just want to stay away from PM or DM completely. Most of these three use gifts as a default way to message as they don’t like the pressure of a back and forth DM/PM. Some of them will put kinda personal stuff in the message and do not want that on public spotlight. I’m not by default like that at all (probably also like you are not,) but I also realize it’s a wide world and I don’t need my friends to be like me. I try to meet people where they are at because god knows I have my own issues and most likely way more than them. I’d be a huge hypocrite to ask them accept mine and be unwilling for theirs.

Some days, a gift can be a real moral boost when you're suffering through shit times in a way that the usual PM doesn't quite fix... even if it is a private gift.

Not everyone gets gifts from a bunch of people either - so, seeing the same person's name over and over again can come across as "creepy" without context... especially when it's heading for 100 gifts from the same person.

Sometimes you don't want the whole world to read what you said in the note.

I have several hidden gifts, starting from very first one, from a bartender.
I didn't know I can delete them..
Sometimes it is the same message with just a candy from a stranger, saying he can't afford other gifts,

Maybe like the way some junk mail is marked [b]'PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL'[/b] in an attempt to make it look important?

Coz sender intend it for only a specific user.
