Everyone has those recurring bad dreams … what is your nightmare?

Mine is driving across a bridge that spans a deep gorge and suddenly there I am in my car, going through the railing and floating down into oblivion... I always awake right before I crash into the boulder strewn ground. It hits me every now and again and started as best I can remember, in my 20's or maybe early 30's.

It's not exactly a nightmare but I hate that very short dream where I see+feel that I'm falling then wake up. Mostly happens as I "fall" asleep, like literally. Lol

@SW-User Interesting that you dream of falling when you are falling asleep. Have to wonder if there is a connection.

I’ve read they’re called hypnic jerks or sleep starts and they’re fairly common. I too wonder if this is the reason why it’s called *falling* asleep in English. @Ontheroad
