Being single

For the first time in my life I've been single for over a year. I've decided I want to be for a while. I need to find the me I am when I'm not with someone. But life does get lonely the winter is the worst early dark nights and too cold to be outside too long. That's why I go to my local park often. Its no-where special but just the warmth of the sun and the fresh air makes me feel better, content.

Being single for over a year and wanting to continue it is such a huge sign of positive growth in your life. I hope that you are very proud of yourself. Prioritizing yourself and your own mental health as opposed to sacrificing yourself to a relationship is incredible! For you to have been single for this long means that you have found a way to give yourself something you were seeking in relationships. That's powerful!
