I once felt that way before Vickie and I came together and had 11 years of the best relationship either of us ever experienced. Now everyday is full of emptiness.

@Gibbon If I may ask,how did she pass?
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@DavidT8899 Heart failure approximately 4 and a half years after multiple bypass surgery. She went home to Alabama for a funeral the summer before she passed and got a bad case of COVID while there. A 1 week trip turned into 2 months. Her daughter and I as well as her doctor are certain even though she got over COVID it damaged her heart more. There was nothing they could do to help her. She lost so much weight and her body was too weak. She suddenly got edema real bad in both legs. She passed after 4 days in the hospital.

@Gibbon I believe it was Shakespeare who said "It is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all "I suppose it's up to every person to determine if that's true.

@DavidT8899 I wouldn't change anything as far my experience with Vickie goes and I know she wouldn't either. We both had that relationship so few have the opportunity to. Shakespeare was correct where the deepest of relationship is concerned.
