I learned today that I have been unnecessarily suspicious of my coworker. It turns out, that I now believe he is a genuinely nice guy with no ulterior motive. I think it’s because for some reason Americans are very talkative for no purpose. I never understood why he keeps making conversation and is very eager to help. It turns out he’s like that with everyone and has no angle 😅

Americans are known in Europe to be very talkative tourists. While in my home country, it’s considered weird to go up to random people and make small talk @chrisactually
@666Maggotz That makes total sense now that you say it. It's funny, because in the Pacific Northwest US, they have what's called "the freeze": everyone's very polite and generally talkative, but they don't actually want to make friends.
