Does everyone here look back at the last three years and wish they had been nicer to themselves?

I used it as a pig out session like i still have PMS....except the PMS lasted for three years. i learned alot but for goodness sakes, it would have been the right time to eat right and exercise regularly and learn an instrument and a new language and all i did was learn how to cook and bake crap better.
Actually I'm physically better off. Became a mostly empty nester and was hardly traveling for work since start of the pandemic. Miss my kids being at home, but my time is more mine now than it has been for 20+ yrs. Spent more time exercising, cooking and eating healthier, doing outdoorsy vacation stuff over last 3 yrs. Down over 40 lbs and continuing to push toward my target weight and fitness goals.
@Stillwaiting wow that is great
@DIABLISS Thanks .. its been a bit of a personal journey.

I discovered shrooms and learned how to make my own booze. Does that count?

@PhoenixPhail I also bought a pressure canner and started learning to can. I guess that has to count for something.
@robb65 That's a GREAT thing to learn to do. 👍
@robb65 😝lol
I wish I could of been better to myself, but I had to be there for my kid.
@BrokenAbyss that is nice
I think our circumstances threw most of us into survival mode, and whatever made us feel better is what we went with.
I know that's what I did, and now I have a pot belly.
@PhoenixPhail i gained alot of weight
@DIABLISS I find that so easy to do in my advanced years.
My body is slowing down and not working as efficiently as it used to. Plus, I walk, but I'm not getting the aerobic exercise I need. I would love to be able to take in fewer calories than I burn and feel satisfied. But somehow, that one (or half a dozen 🤭) cookie, always seems to find me. And, as an emotional eater, that's a hard habit to curb.

I hope you're having a good day. 🙂
@PhoenixPhail i understand completely

Yes but then I used di become very anxious and depressed, still sometimes and then it's hard to take good decisions but for the most part I'm better in many ways
@SW-User i get that. i don't seem to feel effected by the world anymore
SW-User
@DIABLISS that's better because you're more secure in yourself
@SW-User i think i emotionally pulled back and don't associate myself with the craziness
