Who's more pitiful? The one who felt love but lost it or the one who never felt loved at all?

But I think that love is something that sticks even when the person who gave it is gone.

I would have to say the one who never felt love. You can cherish the time you've felt love, you can learn from it, you can apply those lessons to other endeavors. But when you've never been loved, all you feel is that you'll never be good enough. You're just an inferior person that has nowhere to belong and no one to rely on

Feeling pitiful is an emotion. Emotions are not measurable or comparable. Considering one above other would be a sort of less sensitive to the other.

Love doesn't stick, it's the memories that sticks after the person is gone.

The former, I guess the latter is like a fish without a bicycle.
The one that never felt it
