What is truly worth my time?

Time is arguably the most valuable thing there is because you only get so much of it and you can never get it back. I used to think a good life lied in the getting the things I desired, whatever they were. So I used up all my time chasing after them.

Looking back on that it’s a bit silly to think that way. The idea that I should spend my whole life looking forward to something so that I never fully appreciate where I currently am. I’d never be happy living that way, would I? I achieve and then what? I’m left with more to achieve. It won’t ever be enough because we’ll always have more that needs to be done. That’s just the way it is.

I’ve realized the only thing worthy of my time is the fulfillment of whatever challenges me. That’s what I desire now because those who pursue easy won’t ever get to the bottom of that rainbow.

Determining where you want to spend eternity. We'll spend our time far longer "there", than in this life on earth, so it is the most valuable decision we'll ever make. There's no guessing about it. God's Word says so. That's one thing we don't want to get wrong.

@LadyGrace Yes, if I believed in eternity, I would agree. While I believe it’s possible, it’s not something I know for sure and even if I did, I don’t want to spend my life lost in what I currently know. I prefer to spend it on what I can come to know.
@Reject But you can come to know it because whether anyone acknowledges it or not God said we're all going to spend eternity someplace other than this world and that's either heaven or hell. I believe him over man. And you don't know all the things that you'll see in heaven if that's where you go. That's up to you.

@LadyGrace I can come to know that, or I can come to know something else. There’s infinite possibility in what I can come to know. However, there will be none the moment I decide what I do know and the life of a closed mind is not one I want.
@Reject No, you want to keep growing and learning.

@LadyGrace I do! And that stops the moment I think I’ve figured things out.
