What is truly worth my time?

Time is arguably the most valuable thing there is because you only get so much of it and you can never get it back. I used to think a good life lied in the getting the things I desired, whatever they were. So I used up all my time chasing after them.

Looking back on that it’s a bit silly to think that way. The idea that I should spend my whole life looking forward to something so that I never fully appreciate where I currently am. I’d never be happy living that way, would I? I achieve and then what? I’m left with more to achieve. It won’t ever be enough because we’ll always have more that needs to be done. That’s just the way it is.

I’ve realized the only thing worthy of my time is the fulfillment of whatever challenges me. That’s what I desire now because those who pursue easy won’t ever get to the bottom of that rainbow.

Really, we don't even have time. The only valuable pursuits that could have some lasting effect on eternity are things not of this world. We can take nothing with us. No one gets out alive.

@Steve42 I like to think everything we do has a lasting effect simply through the butterfly effect or chain reactions. Everything’s connected. That’s just how I see it though. Like yours it’s purely a theory because no one has ever achieved time travel.

*edit* No one we’re aware of. Lol.
