It’s a nice ideal, but not realistic with everybody mingled unless we achieved homogeny. I’m not saying that I am in support of reverting back to tribalism or homogeny. I’m only pointing out that when people actually live their values eventually it becomes a conflict of interest when it comes to serious issues (which is to say any issue that is of significance to that sect of people).

When others have opinions or attitudes we don't like, maybe it's possible to be more tolerant if we think maybe their brain is just 'wired that way' and there's nothing they can do about that.
