Good Riddance

After a break up and a brief meltdown period ,do you bounce back and feel relieved that the relationship didn’t last forever?

Me most times actually 🤓.
In the past ,after the honeymoon period ,the relationships ,it felt heavy and claustrophobic.Disagreements,misunderstandings.
Seemed like a drag honestly .🥱
whats the point of proving your actions and constantly showing that you care ,if the other person is blinded by his own beliefs and judgements ?

As if I’m waiting for the right opportunity to call it off ,so that the guilt is lessened, thats all .Thats all the time was for .To get a good riddance.
Doesnt matter who initiated the breakup .but,

Being alone and single is far better than being in the wrong company .It sucks your energy and positivity.
Freedom is highly valuable.

Have you ever thought this way ?

Couldn't agree more... It's great with the right person, but they often aren't..

Absolutely. After this last break up I have never felt better. I feel happiness again. I want this feeling to last because I need a break.
@SW-User It feels quite relaxing and euphoric isn’t it ?

Honestly, i broke up a long term relationship not too long ago whom i was about to engage to until i found out something.

it fucking hurts as fuck, yes. but i think its all a learning experience to find something more important.

it may never be immediate, but time will tell.

i may just be optimistic, but i guess what im really trying to say is finding and to love oneself is whats important first before finding that person that truly fills your needs.

i hope that makes sense? what can i say... a guy cant really make sense when putting sensitive things in writing
@toobookoo Absolutely.Every heart break is a learning experience until the time you stumble upon someone who actually values it.Loving oneself is the first priority which we keep forgetting.

@Caleidoscope yea. just focus on oneself. go do some exploring. me, i've been travelling more than i ever had before. do something outside the box. nothing too crazy though. maybe go do bucket list?

An argument only arises if both parties aren't willing to ask "the why" behind their actions and reasons of disagreement. Unable to see reason behind an action. That makes it very uncomfortable to live with a person because we may hold assumptions without asking. Most reasons are freedom, work, finances, understanding and respect related than love. Because love always allow, other doesn't as much. They have their own way to deal with stuff.

A relationship isn't a single sided effort, but a duo dynamic and compromises. Remember compromises only happens because not both or only one side could always win their requirements.

Also that's the trade off of being in relationship, it will take your peace away.

That's why I have been single myself to keep the peace and find the right person. But to be with a person you invest time and energy without a garantee if it would last as life comes with challenges if you aren't focused towards a better secure future.

At least that's how I see things. Each their own. Isn't it?
@Jester1987 💯 true, its important to first be at peace within themselves to attract a similar partner

I don't have experience with relationships but when I see some couples I often think I wasn't built to handle this. I'm far less forgiving.
@CrazyMusicLoverI think its about finding someone where the love is effortless .If there’s a lot of effort and doubts ,its far better to be single and happy

@Caleidoscope I think love is all that it is about. I can't imagine how anybody could tolerate certain behaviours unless they loved the person.
Love or materialistic calculation where they know they wouldn't have certain things otherwise and it's worth for them to deal with the person's BS.
