Are these the end times?
I'm not religious, not a 'believer' but seeing what is happening in the world it is difficult not to think we're long past the point of no return, and seeing the end of our civilization if not our species.

The latest probable model of the universe is that it will expand forever, cool, and I think eventually all matter will decay into radiation. So interactions will become rare and hence so will change become rare, so in that sense time will sort of "stop" since if few things change then existence is sort of timeless.
