Yes. I lived in false hope pretty much my whole life. I wanted to be loved and wanted, and have a good/happy relationship/marriage. What now? I live without it as best I can, but it hurts to know I’ve lived, I’ll die, and not have it.

@Carissimi please never give up, even if you have fun just looking, I work in weddings and work with brides In your age bracket, it’s lovely 😊 join a good dating agency, one that costs money, so you know they won’t waste your time, it does work. Never ever give up hope 🥰✨ it can happen.

You have nothing to lose trying. 😊

No. I’m not looking. I haven’t looked for a long time, and I won’t join a dating site. That’s not my scene. If it happens, it happens organically, like it did back in the day. I’m not relationship material anymore. I’m broken ... very much so. As lonely as life is for me, I couldn’t weigh someone else down with my baggage. I want to make someone happy, not miserable. @Fairydust

Yeah I hoped my husband would change and wasted years trying to fix it.
Never happened and now I’m going with plan B lol 😆 it’s a better option.

@Fairydust Plan B - killing the problem isnt the necessary solution.🙈

Oh yes! When I retired I had planned on building a large detached garage and having a few classic muscle cars. I even bought the spare lot next to us, but 7 years later there is no garage and no classic cars. My wife wanted a motorhome and to travel. From the cost of the motorhomes I knew I would have to give up my dream to make hers come true, but I bought her the motorhome anyway. I do enjoy traveling in it. 🙂
You adjust and change the plan. Sometimes, that seems like it can never happen. I keep hope and even look at what didn't happen and realize it might be a good thing it didn't.

If it was meant to be, it would have happened. If it didn't happen, you were going down the wrong path from the very beginning but didn't catch all the tell-tale clues to the contrary along the way. Let it go and then go with the flow.[/c]
