I At Least Want To Make One Of My Dreams Reality

i saw a post on forum asking for people to start a metal band. it s a rare genre here and is so difficult to find people who play metal that forming a full band may take years or even more probably, never. so even with unsuitable people or with people you can't get along with, usually you try to tolerate.

i joined a metal band 5 yrs ago, had a bad break up 2 yrs afterwards. there are some songs i like very much. and i have always wanted to form a metal band to perhaps recover from my bad experience in the previous one.

with people gathered from the forum we roughly discussed what we played and what our expectation was. there was a guy who kept on saying he wanted to compose instrumental music for sale and for the games and apps he wrote, and that all the equipments were so expensive and let s do something practical.

that means as a vocalist there is no chance we could work together. and with my busy job i have no time to work in another "job" which is supposingly a leisure activity. so was another person in the group who expressed he had no interest and quitted too.

starting from the moment i quitted that chat group i realize i will never look for any metal bands to join again. those bad experiences and people in the previous one are gone and must be accepted as they were. i will live my life with my decent job, and i don't want to be like and with those people who enjoy being outcast of the society grumbling about everything in the world with no contribution, spending most of their time drinking and smoking, dreaming of being rich and famous with a minority genre and with no formal knowledge and training.
There are a lot of people out there who love metal music. A LOOOOT. And those who do, aren't just fair weather fans. They stick with it hard core, lol. My ex loved metal and he's played with various people over the years. Don't give up on something you love :) There are a lot of crappy people in this world. Plenty who will let you down. However, there are twice as many great people out there who will be loyal, supportive, inspirational, and essentially good. So don't give up. Just keep searching for kindred spirits with similar aspirations. They're out there :)
