Share with us a personal "I'm so old" story.

I'm so old I remember when carnivals still featured freak shows.

EDIT: I remember my parents got a "baby bonus" from the gov't of $8 per month for me in the 1950s !!

I'm so old that I've bought the same album in four different formats.

@RosaMarie Oh trust me! Us old timers fully understand that one. Lol!!! 😂
@RosaMarie

You got Caruso on one of these? Me, too!

@rinkydinkydoink You can't beat a good lo-fi system like this one.

My brother-in-law's uncle lived in a farm house near Toronto ( which I visited when I was around 12 or so) that was a time capsule of sorts. Not only was there no indoor plumbing, he had a wooden wall phone that rang a specific number of times indicating which home on the party line the incoming call was for.
He also had a collection of gramophone records from the turn of the 20th century - - they were thick and one-sided. He had no means of playing those but I remember noticing one was a Sousa band recording.

@rinkydinkydoink We had a similar one before my father built his own electronic record player. That was his speciality at the time, electronics. I remember him becoming very excited with the coming of transistors which replaced the old valves.
