I'm so old I remember when carnivals still featured freak shows.

EDIT: I remember my parents got a "baby bonus" from the gov't of $8 per month for me in the 1950s !!

I'm so old I am now routinely bringing up references that people under 30 -do not understand at all- and it keeps confusing me.

Yep. Now I know what the older generations went through trying to tell me how hard they had it. And they DID have it hard, too...
