I Hate Being Lied to

I don't know anyone who likes it. But wouldn't it be better wording.. I hate finding out I was lied to instead? Because if your are being lied to.. seriously unless your empathic or on a lie detector machine how would you know?

That would be true unless you already know the truth and what is being said is a pure fabrication contrary to what is already known. "I was over at Jim's house and spent the afternoon with him" when you just happened to run into Jim picking up last minute things at the grocery store taking his son out for a birthday picnic, for example.

Great point! I used that one on my kids all the time to see if they would lie to me! No wonder kids don't trust their parents!..lol

Exactly because you found out they were lying to you. That effects your ability to trust, not their ability of falsehood. Either way.
