I Suck At Poetry
What You Don't Know
She smiles as she walks on by
The same face you see everyday
No one knows what she keeps inside
They just go past, keeping on their way
She goes to her room where she's alone
And sits by herself at last
The tears roll down that pink cheek bone
Bringing flooded memories of the past
She wants to go back and change what she did
She has only herself to blame
For being here in this big world
Yet no one even knows her name
Everyone you ask will just say she's shy
The quiet one, they'll say
But inside her mind screams
For someone to notice her someday
But still she'll continue to walk on by
Always wearing those cute jeans
Covering the scars all over
Reminded what they mean
For sometimes when you have no friends
You make some of your own
A knife, blade, and razor
Make you feel less alone
She smiles as she walks on by
The same face you see everyday
No one knows what she keeps inside
They just go past, keeping on their way
She goes to her room where she's alone
And sits by herself at last
The tears roll down that pink cheek bone
Bringing flooded memories of the past
She wants to go back and change what she did
She has only herself to blame
For being here in this big world
Yet no one even knows her name
Everyone you ask will just say she's shy
The quiet one, they'll say
But inside her mind screams
For someone to notice her someday
But still she'll continue to walk on by
Always wearing those cute jeans
Covering the scars all over
Reminded what they mean
For sometimes when you have no friends
You make some of your own
A knife, blade, and razor
Make you feel less alone
