Sometimes, but not often. But I just feel content in myself, not worrying about what other people think of me or people pleasing. I'm not saying you are a people pleaser. I'm just stating how I feel within myself. I figured the right people who are meant to get my message, we'll get it. If they don't, that's okay, too. I don't sweat it. Taking care of myself and loving myself is a top priority and not allowing toxic things or thoughts into my life. I keep busy and do things I really love and enjoy. Life goes a lot better that way. Much smoother and more peacefully. I'm sure someone notices you. You may not know it but they do. You're important. You have special talents you may not even realize that I'm sure you're a blessing to many. Maybe you're just not aware of it. You are worthy of love. You are enough.

@LadyGrace Thank you for your kind words. I’m going to take them as advice (even though you didn’t mean them that way). Good advice to live by. Thank you. ❤
@otherspect You're very welcome! I meant every word. 👍

Honestly I think therein lies the problem. If we condition ourselves to not care whether anyone else hears us, sees us, or even acknowledges us and just focus more on the task at hand we will find that we could better succeed. In my personal experience and my personal opinion, I have found that if I just focus on what needs to be done and focus less on whose watching me, or my screaming from the rooftops etc...it I have succeeded 90% of the time in what I was trying to accomplish. I don't need to be seen or heard. And everything that I do is more than good enough because my opinion on what I do is the only opinion that matters.

@AngelUnforgiven I agree, my opinion of my creative works is what matters, but I’m trying to make a living from it, too, so it can be pretty frustrating when it feels like no one sees or cares what I do.
@AngelUnforgiven I agree.

I create for myself. If I never had to work a day in my life, I would comfortably withdraw into isolation and create whatever I wanted to without having to show it to another person. If I created something I would personally really like and be proud of, I'd show it to others but if not, all is fine. The problem is...I'm not in the position where I would never have to work a day in my life. 🥲 So I feel like if I want to create, I have to create something that would be monetizable.

@CrazyMusicLover yeah, I hear you. It’s quite hard when you’re trying to make a living from things you create.
Alisha233 · 36-40, F
Isn't this why you create for you, create for your own enjoyment, outlet, hobby.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Alisha233 i create a fair number of images that i would not exhibit publicly. But, it is a feeling of accomplishment to create them.
Alisha233 · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 is it naughty art?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Alisha233 define naughty.

I think, if you're creative you're going to create whether it's "successful"or not.
otherspect · 51-55, M
@Justmeraeagain true, but making a buck from it is necessary when it’s your livelihood.
What are you trying to create?
@otherspect So fiction or non-fiction?

Fiction: novels, novellas, short stories, plays, poetry, teleplays, movie scripts, speeches for DJT

Non-fiction: textbooks, ref books, how-to books, biographies, autobiographies, other histories, commentaries, essays, researched works, etc.
otherspect · 51-55, M
@SomeMichGuy fiction, but not said speeches lol.
@otherspect Then you are respectable. 😊

I'm at that mountain top, and no one's around, u know what? I like it, I do it for myself, not others.
otherspect · 51-55, M
@Lilnonames same, but it’s also my income, so I do have to worry about whether others are interested in it.
