Haven’t been feeling right lately and I can’t explain why

I’m not usually here to complain about myself
Or be a drama queen but things have been strange lately
I send my son to summer camp in Scotland , the house is silent and feel empty . It’s not the first time this happened but it hits different now . I feel old and very emotional.
Life has been rough ( guessing it’s the same for everyone ) lately feeling tiered of all of this … circus … starting to wonder what’s the point of all of this

Rest assured that what you are feeling is normal and not being whiny. You have been a dad for a while and now he's gone. It's what's called empty nest syndrome. All of your energy has focused on your some for many years now. Without that ritual of taking care of him, you feel lost and without purpose. The same will happen when he goes to college. What this means is you've entered into a new phase of life. You are still a parent but you can focus on you now. So you need a plan to get back to hobbies and doing what you used to do or find new things of interest.

The circus you speak of is real. Doesn't matter if your democrat ore republican. MAGA has us trapped for now. The best you can do is limit tv and the news and live your life as best as you can. Spread the love and make a point to say hi to others. Good luck brother.
