I know the feeling, especially the past two-years, being isolated from others.

What have you tried to do?

@1490wayb I can relate to a degree... although I have made some advancements through sheer force of will. The biggest step I had to take was acknowledging (this is different than admitting) that I was the root cause of the problem. I was fond of blaming it on the world... "the world treated me like I was invisible." You get the idea...
I'm still on the outside. My advancement to date has mainly been that I don't feel as much of an outsider as I used to. I still need to work on social skills, getting past the unnatural fear of rejection, and (a trace) of social anxiety. The good news is, those are things all in my control.
I suspect there are many things that are in your control, if you will acknowledge them. That's the first step... if you are sincere about no longer wanting to feel and be invisible. The sad part... and the hard part part... that acknowledgment puts the entire burden on YOU.
