Do you think if mothers dressed and treated there boys as girls for a period of time, would this teach the boys more respect for woman

No, clothes has nothing to do with the way boys treats women. Teaching them by explaining what is proper acceptable behavior is the way to teach the boys. Boy or girl, clothing does nothing to teach them how to be respectful to others.

Start teaching the child early as to what respect is and how to act/treat others, is how they will learn. Of course appropriate punishment if they misbehave.
