Do you think if mothers dressed and treated there boys as girls for a period of time, would this teach the boys more respect for woman

Probably the opposite.

Many parents and schools treat girls with far more respect than they treat boys. Schools tend to give girls more freedom too. Treating boys the same for a short period would probably cause resentment when those privileges were removed.
