Australia or the US?

@Laifu1: Why, were you born simultaneously in two countries thousands of miles apart? Lol:)
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Laifu1: The country you're from.
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: Ken Hamm is from Australia, but is now an American. I was just curious to know which country claims him.
SW-User
@Allelse: Sorry. I should have mentioned that I was asking about Ken Hamm
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Laifu1: Sorry, I thought you were talking about yourself. Lol:)

If Ken Hamm is from Australia, how is he "now an American"? How can he alter the fact that he was born in Australia? Oh, he might live in America now but at the end of the day he is still Australian.
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: US citizen. But I also blame Australia for him... The US has more than enough people to be embarrassed by
Allelse · 36-40, M
Oh he did? Still!! He's still a fricken idiot!! And citizenship or not, Australia was his land of creation!!!
SW-User
@Allelse: Please take him back... We will even accept something poisonous in exchange.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Laifu1: Who is he anyway? I've never heard of him before.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: He's a young earth creationist who believes the earth is 6000 years old and that humans and dinosaurs were living together once and that Noah's ark really happened.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Laifu1: Sorry gorgeous. We'll keep our Redbacks and Funnel Webs, he's your problem now.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Allelse: Oh, one of those? People were saying things like that when I was in junior school. So what else is new?
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: He built the Creation Museum in Kentucky and is building a religious theme park. He built a replica of the ark, and put dinosaurs in cages in it. Here they try to teach this as fact. He believes things like that the earth was created 6,000 years ago and that humans, giants, and dinosaurs had gladiatorial matches. He is even planning to "recreate" this.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Laifu1: Sounds about as significant as a pee in the ocean. Lol:)
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Laifu1: Oh yeah I forgot about the Ark. Really, he thinks the giants are real too? Well I guess there were giants in the bible.
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: No. He got millions in tax breaks, has a large following, and is rewriting science books for public schools. Much worse than you would imagine
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Laifu1: People don't have to believe him. I could write a book saying Father Christmas is a real person, but that doesn't make it true. It's only worse than I imagine if people take him too seriously.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: There are people that do.
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: My family are all right wing evangelicals who adore him, so I might be more paranoid than a lot of people, but they are trying to teach this as fact in our public schools.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Laifu1: Holy shit! Bloody hell!! I feel very very sorry for you. But yeah alot of people take him and those other nutters WAY too seriously. And you're right, they want to rewrite science books and put creationism in schools. Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Allelse: Wouldn't it be better to scientifically prove the idiot wrong and show him up for the buffoon he is?
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: Ahhhh! You obviously dont understand the 'Believer' and plenty have people have proven him and his idiot colleagues to be morons, but it doesn't matter. Faith is never a matter of evidence is a matter of "I BELIEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Regardless of the facts.
SW-User
@Allelse: lol. You have no idea of the insanity... Homeschooled, 7 siblings, the whole craziness. No friends, tv, rock music, movies, etc... They have absolutely no knowledge of science. In high school (Christian school) my biology teacher was fired for telling us that he thought god could have created the world and used evolution as part of his plan. These people are scary.
SW-User
@Bottomschmackenloudenboomer: He and Bill Nye had at least one large debate. Ken Hamm's followers don't have the scientific knowledge to even understand most of what Bill Nye said.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Allelse: That's the oddest way of spelling "believe" I've ever seen. Lol:)

I just Googled this Ken Ham nutter a few minutes ago, and he sure sounds like a nutter. Lol:)
