Or the innocent people trapped in false cases because of whatever reasons were not obeying the law?

I just feel like most cops are good people, and if people would obey the law and not challenge the good police officers they wouldn't have to worry about brutality. Obviously there are shady cops too, and they need to be addressed and punished, but I think a lot of problems would cease to exist between civilians and officers if they were just treated with respect.

@Sadie14: Part of the problem is that police do not always treat civilians with respect.

@Sadie14: there are a lot of good cops, but most of them are not good, in fact most of them are puppets at the hands of corrupt politicians

@Lynda70: That's true. Although I can't pretend to know what it's like being in their shoes. They need to be respectful yet cautious. They need to make sure they make it home to their families at the end of the day.
