How to get on a camel.
To get on a camel, wait for your guide to make the animal kneel on the ground.
Step up or swing your leg over the saddle while holding the front handle tightly.
Lean back as the camel stands up on its back legs first to keep your balance.
Mounting Steps
Approach the kneeling camel:
Make sure the animal is fully resting on the ground and your guide is holding it steady.
Mount the saddle:
Put your foot in the stirrup (if available) or use your momentum to swing your leg across the middle of the back.
Hold on tight:
Grip the front handle or handlebars of the saddle firmly with both hands.Lean with the movement: Lean back when the hind legs rise, and adjust your posture as the front legs straighten.
Riding Tips
Wear long, comfortable pants and closed-toe shoes to protect your skin from chafing and the sun.
Keep both hands on the saddle handle while the camel is standing up, sitting down, or moving at an unsteady pace.
Relax and sway with the rolling rhythm of the camel's walk rather than fighting the motion.
