I have always wondered one thing. Since our brains only decode a tiny fraction of the light, sound, and energy around us, do you think we are actually experiencing reality, or are we just living in a highly customized human illusion!

@DareToSayIT One of the interesting thought experiments I had was what if all life on earth was actually a higher dimensional being and each individual is a portion of it moving through the space we can perceive. Like how they show a 3D sphere moving through a 2D plane is just a circle that grows and shrinks again. In the same sense my finger and my knee are both parts of my body but they are not aware of each other unless they touch because their sense of perception is limited as such. If you and I were appendages of a higher dimensional being but only have the ability to perceive 3D would not be able to detect that we were part of the same entity.

I don't actually believe that, but it was interesting to think on.

@ViciDraco I think about this kind of stuff all the time, too. Even though it's totally imaginary, it’s so fascinating to picture what a 4th-dimensional being would be like. Just speculating about how they would perceive time differently and the things they could actually do, is such a cool sci-fi concept to play with.
