Do you second guess yourself?

In jobs or at work , minor decisions, big decisions, in relationships, with a purchase etc ..?

Or do you listen to your own mind clearly and not concern over if you make a mistake or, make the wrong decision etc?

Living = mistakes. That is the way life works, or that is how I approach it.

Regardless of what decision I make I'm at best 80% or so sure it's the right decision. Sometimes I think I'm spot-on.

Yeah, nope, only in rare occasions does that happen.

So I go with knowing I'm at least 80% right going in and have the confidence that I can adjust as I go and get through whatever that remaining 20% hits me with.

My bottom line is that if it didn't kill me, I'll survive.

@Ontheroad Thanks, I have a lot of issues with self doubt. Lived under a narcissist bully for the first two decades of life and they eroded ME..and my self trust. If only I knew THEN that you can never ever please or be right, for a narcissist.

That they'll ridicule EVERY single thing one says or does, I wouldn't have crippling PTSD as an adult. It was a hell, being screamed at if you put a CUP Down "wrong"..
You're right living itself is going to yield mistakes even as grown ups! It's just an aspect of daily life .

My mind catastrophized my mistakes, and it really made me feel inhuman. 🙁 I truly want to heal this, so I appreciate your reflective ideas🦋

I'm constantly assessing, aligning, evaluating. It's what I do. 🙂
There are real good reasons I second guess myself. LOLOL

I second guess myself and it's a curse.

You might want to reconsider that answer.

I think about it for a minute. Then decide and never look back. I'm not saying I still don't second guess myself, but I say screw it.

Sure, I second-guess myself all the time. But I think it’s important to weigh the pros and cons before making the decision and ultimately do what your gut and your mind tell you is the best decision. We all just have to jump in and do it.
