People in DV relationships who refuse to remove kids being exposed to the violence are just as bad as the abuser

And besides y’all, I said REFUSE!!! Like that lady who got arrested when she was also a victim.
GoFish ·
for being complicit with abuse?
TurtlePink · F
@GoFish this is how people sometimes be getting child neglect charges…

@TurtlePink in the next town over some lady let her bf starve beat and kill her 4 year old daughter 😕 they found the kid dead in the woods after the parent claimed she was missing 😕

"Just as bad as the abuser"

False.

I feel like there’s a massive difference between causing harm and being stuck without an easy way out. Ideally kids are protected but access to support isn’t always simple
TurtlePink · F
@backnforth and some people just shouldn’t be parents
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
You’re quite judgemental for someone who has made some sketchy choices of her own.
TurtlePink · F
@AdmiralPrune I haven’t even said my opinion and don’t try to turn the conversation around on me. Because I’ve never failed to protect my babies over a dude
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
@TurtlePink Yes but how many babies by how many dudes?😆
TurtlePink · F
@AdmiralPrune 1 dude and we’ve been together for over 4 years
MommaBear · 26-30, F
Unless you were ever put in that situation you have no idea how hard it is to leave when in all actuality it’s way more dangerous once you leave.. most DV victims deaths are from them trying to leave..

Signed,
Someone who was a victim and had to fight hard for a protection order against my abuser after being attacked badly after leaving…

Also for the record my kids were never around when he would abuse me.. he’d act like the perfect loving partner in front of everyone
TurtlePink · F
@MommaBear OK so if the kids were never around or exposed then this post doesn’t apply to you. I posted this on Facebook and oh my gosh, everyone keeps acting the same! And they keep telling their story and has nothing to do with what I’m talking about

It’s different if you know that the kids are around and are exposed and you fail to protect them that is what I’m talking about!! those people deserve to be charged and they are just as guilty as the abuser
