Some homeless guy who wanted money told me I was "stuck in my own mind..."

A man in the parking lot at the gym, came up to me and asked if I had any money for the homeless. I said, "Sorry... no." He waved me away and said, "Don't ever be sorry for anything in your life." I said, "I don't believe that way," and he started screaming at me, "You're just stuck in your own mind, and you will never get out." He walked away with a scowl on his face. I felt diminished and unsettled. I don't know why he said that to me.

The insane often do recognize their own kind. Not all the time though.
