Your Dad would be proud of you ♥

@PatientlyWaiting25 I know he is. His good friends said if I needed help with finishing the Chevelle, they would come over and did

I'm sorry 🙁🌹 It's very difficult grasping it all especially you were so young. My dad just passed a month ago on Valentine's Day. He went to the ER for what we thought was severe dehydration or possible mini stroke. A few days later his tests showed all lymph nodes swollen, he had an aggressive form of Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer. At first we thought ok, he can get chemo. But they said he was too compromised being already a stroke victim. That the chemo would kill him sooner than the cancer. He passed just a month after diagnosis. I'm still trying to accept it. 😟 But I'm glad I was there by his side his last week... Holding his hand.
I'm sure you dad is very proud of what you did in his honor on his car. 🌸

Im sorry for your loss. My parents and siblings were killed by a drunk driver when i was 17 too.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that and I'm so deeply sorry for your loss.
I love that you kept the Chevelle My father was a self-taught mechanic and loved tinkering with cars from the '50s and trucks from the '50s
I used to help him here and there I loved having that bond with him.

@LaLumieri We worked on it together for 2 years. The towing yard let me have his last unworn work uniform and coat which I still have. He also worked there as a mechanic and I have his work toolbox I use at home. I own that towing yard now, bought it from the original owner in 2012

@parttimegal what a wonderful tribute to your dad to continue his legacy. I'm glad you were able to keep some of your father's things. I lost my father in 2013 to cancer. In the last two weeks of his life he was so dedicated and loved what he did with cars that they literally brought in an engine for him to work on on our living room floor in his last days. I miss him so much and I love that I was involved with something that he loved so much too

@FemSteps Did get justice too, the drunk driver got 25 years for vehicular manslaughter which he was remorseful and did accept his prison sentence
