2 days, we got hammered with 5+ feet of snow on Valentines Day 2007, had to wait for the town to clear the road with a bucket loader.. Wasn't a big deal, great excuse to stay inside.

I've never been truly snowed in, just inconvenienced for a while.

Snow is rare here in Southern England, and it was last a problem for me something like fifteen years ago, only for a week, and I was not trapped. I was merely unable to use my car, as I lived in a housing-estate on a hill, and the roads and residents' car-parks were not cleared so became covered in ice.

I was able to commute by train, though with a cautious, rather unpleasant walk at each end of the journey.

So nothing like the horrendous conditions people in many other parts of the world have to endure.

All is Spring Break one time. The snow started on Saturday and the apartment complex didn’t start clearing the parking lot till the weekend. I had that time scheduled off using my vacation time, didn’t get to do anything fun. Another time all through Christmas Break. Waded through a foot and a half of snow walking to a convenience store both time to get a Sunday newspaper, snacks, and soft drinks.

We had about a week where the town was shut down.
Our truck couldn't even make all the way up the driveway.
We had a wood burning stove and plenty of food and supplies, so we just cozied in and enjoyed the calm.

At the farm, about 5 days, and that was to fly out. Driving would have been another 2.

About three or four days. Which isn't very long, but my dad memorably refused to believe we were snowed in, opened up the garage, and tried to drive our Volvo out. He left a license plate print in the snow, and I took a photo. I'll show you guys later if I can find it.

@MsSwan no, it is not. I would never recommend it.

Never! ...and I live in the most snow-bound place in all of Canada!

But I got stuck in the drive-thru line at the donut shop one time for about 45 minutes and that was pure hell.
