Following Jesus is the best decision I've ever made in my life. A relationship that changed my life in profound ways, and I'll always be grateful.

“Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
~ John 14:6

“All who call on the name of Jesus will be saved.”
~ Romans 10:13

Salvation is a free gift offered to anyone who will believe. Your past doesn’t disqualify you. Your failures don’t disqualify you. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms. Jesus is our only hope in this troubled world, and He offers new life, forgiveness, and eternity in Heaven with Him, to all who call on His name.

If you’ve never invited Jesus into your life, it’s the best decision you will ever make. If you don't know how to do that, here's an example prayer, if you feel led to do so, but make it your own from your heart:

"Dear Jesus, I invite you to come into my heart and life as my Savior. Forgive me of my sins. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, whom will transform my life. Thank you for doing so. I love you Jesus. Amen."

Just as you need food and water to live, our spirit needs spiritual food from God's word and prayer. Our spirit longs for fellowship with Christ. In doing so each day, you will learn and grow in Christ. What a beautiful way to start out the new year, with a brand new life in Christ.

I haven’t had the best experience with religion. It’s done a lot of harm to me. But If it works for you, then do it.
@VampireQueen Maybe that's the difference, sweetheart. I don't follow a religion. That's because religion did not die on the cross for my sins and free me from the burden of them, but the person of Jesus did.

@VampireQueen Don't let what man does or says put you off God. :)

@H1raeth Easier said then done.

I’ve also read the Bible myself and I’m not a fan.
@VampireQueen I can understand why you feel the way you do. I'm sorry you were so hurt. People can sometimes be so cruel. I think it's important not to blame God for what man does. He doesn't force people to do evil. The Bible is the most wonderful book in the world. It never leads us astray but only tells us the truth and how to have a happy, successful life and one of peace. It is so full of wisdom like none other. It is there to help us not hurt us. God just wants to love us. Not ever hurt us. He's the only one we can count on that won't lie to us. Look what he says here. I love this because it is a message of hope in this troubled, sometimes crazy world. After following Christ for 53 years, I can say that he is truly trustworthy and keeps his promises. His character is that he cannot lie nor err.

@LadyGrace I don’t believe in God, so I’m good. Thanks.
@VampireQueen Oh, okay. Thanks for letting me know. I hope you have a great day. Stay safe.

@VampireQueen All I can take from that is that you're not desperate enough to cling to life, yet.
@H1raeth
It's not fair to assume you know her or what she's about. That wasn't a very nice statement. You don't know anything about her or what she's going through, so you can't assume to know.
H1raeth · 36-40, M
@VampireQueen Don't you see how we will literally fight over your God given soul?
VampireQueen · 26-30, F
@H1raeth Pretty sure I was clinging to life when a man tried to rape me last Summer or when I stabbed myself in the chest last October.

You’re not fighting for my soul. You’re not doing me a kindness. You’re fighting to confirm your ideology against someone brave enough to simply tell you “no”.

@VampireQueen I just read your testimony. I'm so sorry you experienced all this, from the bottom of my heart. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. It takes immense courage to share your story, and I'm grateful you felt safe enough to do so here. Your strength is inspiring, and I'm here to listen and support you. You're not alone in this. I'm hoping you have found a counselor to help you get through this.
