I don't think I'm "socially inept..." exactly.

I just got told I'm socially inept and I'm like, where did that come from? I mean, I may not have the very best of social skills and I sometimes come off as awkward and yes, I sometimes feel cornered in certain social situations. But I do put on a good front that masks my social apprehensions.

I was not expecting to be told that... we were just having a (social) conversation. So, I had no idea what to say back.
