The overwhelming experience of returning the wrong item being delivered...

I ordered a tool online and they sent the wrong item. I called their customer service number, and I was told to simply bring it into their store for a credit and reorder. I brought it in and was immediately confronted with a series of questions which I answered. The cashier asked me for a receipt, and I gave her the copy I printed from their online website.

She seemed like she was angry that I came into the store even though that is what I was told to do. And, she didn't seem to like the idea that I was returning the item in the first place. She was bit chatty, and she smiled quite a lot which was off-putting. I didn't really know what to say or how to react. She finally stapled the return receipt to the receipt I gave her and told me my credit card would get credited back.

It was a bit overwhelming, but everything worked out.

I hate having to go into the store to return items i bought online. Defeats the purpose. I didn’t want to go in the store in the first time. I hate to have to do returns anyway!
