The surprising truth is, I don't really do all that well in large groups. 1 on 1, I'm okay.
So, there was a large group meeting at work today and I literally thought I was going to die. It was just too many people all over. It wasn't a good situation. And, everyone wanted to socialize during the breaks and I kept thinking about how I could escape...
1. Out the window (the room was overlooking the A/C units on a sub-roof that was a hard surface).
2. Through a side door (it was locked).
3. Go to the washroom and then make a mad dash out to the parking lot (on my way out, my manager was drinking coffee in the hallway talking to some people and called me over to ask me how I was "enjoying" the meeting. I said, "great!" She then escorted me back into the meeting room.
4. Pull the fire alarm (I'm sure there was one, but I couldn't find it).
5. Move the room clock ahead to the meeting end time (it was too high up on the wall).
