Why are European schools so different from American schools?
Apparently in Europe, they don’t have high school graduations. They just walk out the door like it’s a normal day how sad and depressing.

@bookerdana Prom afterparty, which is for many in the middle of the school year before all the exams.
Then many have after-after party. Which is organized purely by students. In our case, a group of classmates booked a mountain cottage and the whole class was invited. BYOB style.
Nobody had any energy for this at the end of the school year. 😆 But of course, it's entirely up to the students. If they organize a party, so be it but bear in mind that it's June and the attendance might be much lower. There are many who just mentally said bye bye after the exams and after they already were accepted to a college and don't intend to have anything to do with school or their already former schoolmates anymore. Already head to a vacation, a summer job or Work&Travel programs abroad.
Tbh, many hate graduation ceremony even at the university for this reason. It happens too late after the exams and people already have plans for what to do next with their life instead of doing the circus for parents. 🙈

@bookerdana Yeah, literally you sit in the class and your class teacher hands you out your report papers. 😆 Then you go to the yard with the entire school, there's some program, students showing their talents, if there are school bands, they play, then there's some formal blah blah blah of the director, special students being publicly awarded one by one coming forward and then bye bye.
