I was forced into an interaction literally against my will...

I tried to self-check-in at the gym today and the scanner wasn't working and I had to go to the front desk and tell the front desk person I needed to check-in. She said, "you normally do self-check." I said, "yeah, I know but it's not working." She said, "Oops, I forgot to turn on the scanner," smiled, and checked me in at the computer terminal and then said, "Wow, you have perfect attendance." She was just trying to make a comment, I suppose but I had no idea what to say back to her or why she was revealing me "gym attendance record" to everyone waiting to get checked in due to her negligence. She seemed nice enough, but it was an annoying way to start.

It seems like turning on the self-scanner is an important part of her job and she needs some kind of training.

@TryingtoLava Sarcasm...? 🙄 I wasn't scared... just annoyed. People should pay attention to perform their main job functions.
