My parents never taught me any basic life skills.

It sucks how i have to go through life on my own, toddling feet and figure everything out that I should’ve been taught when I was way younger and some times I struggle and then get mocked for my attempt by my peers who all had a much better leg up (had parents that taught them how to do basic skills, supported them, etc)

But it’s hard because even though I’m WAY more successful compared to where I started from, and it took a LOT of hard work... it looks like nothing or just average at best compared to everyone who had a normal baseline. And I get put down for that sometimes, that I’m not where my peers are or where I “should be” at my age.

Just be u, give it time and those things will come naturally. Basic skill, like cooking? Got books and youtube for recipe for help. Open a savings account and build up on savings, like £10 a week MINIMUM goes in that account for example.

Learn from peers but don't let them put u down. You're on different wave lengths only cause of experience but start from somewhere u feel comfortable.

Most of my peers when we were in your age range were just kids. Including me. You're so much more ahead.

They should help you instead of mocking you.

@NinaTina everyone just assumes you know what you're supposed to know already.
