I hate when people say I keep to myself and never seem to want to join them on break, after work get-togethers, etc.

I interact with people all the time. It's part of my job. Sure, it's fun to hang out and stuff, but it's mostly a waste of time and doesn't accomplish anything and I just end up feeling shitty when I do that too much because I feel like I'm just drifting through the motions like an average unimportant person.

I mean, let's say I spend a year hanging out with people all the time doing crazy stuff and having everything I do as impulsive vs. sacrificing that time for something that will better me and hold purpose. I'm not going to remember that year I gave into all that interacting BS. But, the alternative holds a much greater reward and I see that and realize that and prefer to do that.

I still love to hang out and interact with all kinds of people and chill. I do it a lot. I just think it's important to have balance and discipline and make the wise choices and think independently. So, I don't just keep to myself. I mean maybe I do a little, but if I do this is the reason.

@deadgerbil I'm not denying anything. I'm acknowledging, explaining, and growing. We call that being well-adjusted.
