Sometimes interacting with people feels like a full-time job...
-- At the gym, the trainer I had a run-in over waiting for the leg spread machine started drilling me on what I was going to work on. I don't think he remembered me from our run-in... maybe he did... but he just kept asking me questions when I was checking in and he told me to stop mumbling which I wasn't. Maybe I was a little, but if I was, it was because I just wanted to check-in and go about my business instead of being interrogated.
-- At the corner shop, the lady behind me watched everything I was checking out and kept making faces about what I had selected. It was completely unsettling.
-- A woman in my building held the door open for me and asked me how my day was going? I said, "fine" and then she started telling me about what a terrible day she had. I listened to her, but I didn't really know what to say back to her. Then she said, "I better let you go," like I was wasting her time.
