Yall. if i ever win the lottery or rob a bank (which ever one comes first)

I'm gonna build this exact house but on the beach in California

With home prices lately, I am surprised it is even that inexpensive.
Not like I could afford it or anything.

In some cities, a mere shoebox on a cramped property are supposedly going for 400K

@CestManan This is Texas. Where you can live in a mansion for less than $1,000,000. I will soon be there if I stop playing around and focus on what I need to focus on

@TurtlePink In my city something like that would go for double, which I do not understand because I do not live anywhere beautiful nor exciting. Just another dumpy metropolis.

There are some... interesting design decisions at play here. Too close to neighbors for sure though. I don't know if winning the lottery is enough for California beachfront property anymore either 🤣

@ViciDraco They do that with a lot of houses. I've never liked it either. I just think about having teens and it being easy for them to sneak out. And plus how easy it is for guest to accidently go into your bedroom. You'd never actually have privacy. But I think most people reserve that bedroom for guests.

I do like that there's carpet/hardwood/tile throughout the house. Some places need it. Thats how I build my houses on The Sims. Tile must go in areas where water is at so bathrooms and in the kitchen. Carpet in living areas and bedrooms. And then wood in walking areas. One thing I absolutely hate about this house and is a big no no to me is carpet on stairs. That should be hardwood. I get why it might be there, because its safer and could comfort you if you fall or something but if its in heavy traffic area its gonna get dirty alot. You're always gonna be cleaning it.

The turf balcony, I liked the idea because it could be used for the dogs if it was raining, and they needed to go.

That master bedroom with no bathroom door is indeed odd.

@TurtlePink I very much prefer my house not have carpet. The other surfaces are just way easier to keep clean, especially around pets and kids. Now that I use a wheelchair, carpet is also harder to get around on. But I was a hard floor convert before that.

@ViciDraco that is true
