Did you grow up in a strict household?

I grew up in a strict and religious household. My parents really had no choice but to be strict though, because of where we lived.

My form of strict was in the form of a abuse. I had a father that beat us kids and, my mother and tie us up and lock us in closets

I think it took my grandparents to call the cop on my father to save us from our father. I was real little then
