How did your parents react to you getting bad grades in school?

My mom and dad would tease me. Like one time I got a D on a test, and they both asked me if I was slow.

They were disappointed and clearly showed they expected more from me. I was reproached for not studying enough or they just assumed I was too dumb to do any better.
Later a bad grade from math was okay, other subjects were not. I've always been forgiven more easily than my brother because I wasn't a genius child.
