Have you been called stupid for asking questions?

It's always been the case since I was little up until university: asking questions is seen as 'odd' or 'dumb'. I don't think asking any kind of questions has any bearing on intelligence.

I'm just a curious person and I always want to know what's behind something; like Einstein (e.g. Brownian motion) and Socrates (the 'why' behind everything). Good teaching is done with all the why's explained.

Has anyone else been through this problem in their life?

No, not stupid.
I've been called confrontational and like I'm interrogating, when all I am is curious.
Never. How does one learn without asking questions?
[@1027980,BananaBrown] Precisely.
