That's the bad news. The good news is that the pain won't last forever.

Not really. For many pain lasts forever. People just accept it and learn to live with it. But many folks also survive the bad phases also. Lot of times it depends on what opportunities life give you to get over the difficult phases. Many never get that oppertunity.
