What's the average cost of rent where you live?

In my area, it's $900-$1000 per month for a one bedroom, and $1100-$1400 per month for a solid 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. For a [i]good[/i] apartment, I should say. Hard to find a good one here below $900.

And out in the countryside here, I could get a 2 or 3 bedroom house for even cheaper.

@empanadas Here in the Chicago suburbs it's ridiculous, but in the city it's just horrendous.
