Do you find it hard to visit nursing homes because you think it'd be better for the residents to simply be put to sleep?
I mean they're all drugged up and there's so much dementia and sickness and misery.

Not for that reason, no, but the stench is ghastly and one wishes for a higher quality of life for our elders. My exwife used to work with high-functioning Alzheimer's residents as a recreation director. It was fascinating, actually.
